Fun with the little cowboy and cowgirl!

We started out the day a bit more formal and little 2 year old cowboy M. just wasn't really having it. It got fun when Mom pulled out the boots and let the kids run around on their land. We still got some fun, some sweet, some sassy and definantly a little bit of attitude out of the shoot that makes it not only interesting but fun and a little unique.

One thing I miss about California - Leaves

A company that I used to work for back in California flew me in to create the new 2009 marketing plan and Web site. It has been long days but fun spending time with my parents and family. Since moving to Arizona it has been a little disappointing because there are no leaves. That means no treelined streets covered in reds and oranges, no big piles of leaves to play in, no boots and coats needing use. I do enjoy still being able to use the pool everyday but there is something magical about the fall that is missing there. I had a fun visit with my sister-in-law and niece and was able to snap some fun pictues of "fall" with them. They are just the sweetest girls.

Me with my cute neices!

Fun on the farm with Big M, lil M & K

I had alot of fun shooting this family. Little M was so full of energy but we got some great shots just following him around and letting him lead the show. We did it out on their family property which had some great spots. It is fun when the shooting location has meaning and you can capture a bit of who they are in the photos. So cute... so fun!

Can't believe that the dog is even looking!

Grandma B. was telling her son to stop throwing little B but I am glad he didn't because it made for one of my favorite pictures yet.

They were swinging him and he was cracking up begging to go higher. They went higher to please him and flipped him all the way around... it freaked me out but he couldn't stop laughing... of of course wanted to do it again.
Thanks for having me to come shoot your adorable little guy and your family!

Adorable A - On the spot

When Katie came to pick me up today, little A looked so adorable we did an on the spot photo shoot. She was in a great mood and actually smiled for me.

Looking forward to Thanksgiving...

I am thinking about Thanksgiving right now. Not because of turkey and pie but because of where we are going for it this year. All my family except for my brothers and their families are meeting at Becky's house for Thanksgiving. It is kind of in the middle between Modesto and Scottsdale... about 6 hour drive for each. This middle place I am talking about is San Diego and what that translates to is... the beach... which means I get to be in heaven taking pictures at my favorite place. When the sky is just a bit overcast, and the light is reflecting off the sand and the colors are either incredibly vivid or beautifully muted, I love to see the art that takes place on the 3 inch lcd screen that is in my face. It made me think of a fun photoshoot I had with my kiddos and the wonderful Stacey family this summer so I had to do a post.

Little ones have minds of their own.

I love taking pictures of those I love and little A is no exception. She came out as smart as a whip knowing exactly what was going on and what she wanted. This day was no exception. She knew it was picture day and she was having fun frustrating mommy. It was a game for her to turn away from the camera constantly and stick her tounge out. I had fun just following following her around and capturing what I could. Love you A.

Some fun with little Miss J.

I love taking pictures of J. She is incredible spunky, fun, cute, sweet and it shows through with her great expressions. Here are a few of my favorite from today.
